Christopher Bear (of the rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Mother, CouchSwallowedThe Passenger) is the composer of the new FX original series Adults. The show is created by Ben Kronengold & Rebecca Shaw and stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele. The comedy revolves around five twenty-somethings in New York who are crashing together in one of the group’s childhood home, where they share their meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes. Kronengold & Shaw are also executive producing the project with Nick Kroll (Big Mouth, Adult Beginners), Stefani Robinson (Atlanta, Chevalier), Sarah Naftalis (What We Do in the Shadows) and Jonathan Krisel (Baskets, Portlandia). Alicia Van Couvering (Cop Car, Digging for Fire). Adults will premiere tomorrow, May 28 on FX and will also be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

As previously reported, Bear’s other recent projects include Matthew Shear’s Fantasy Life, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and has recently been picked up Greenwich Entertainment for domestic distribution, as well as Cole Webley’s Omaha, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will also be released by Greenwich Entertainment later this year.
