Danny Elfman (Batman, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Men in Black, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Alice in Wonderland) has confirmed in a recent interview at last week’s opening of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe that he is set to reteam with director Sam Raimi on the upcoming horror thriller Send Help. The film starring Rachel McAdams, Chris Pang, Dylan O’Brien & Dennis Haysbert follows two friends and only survivors of a plane crash whobecome stranded on a deserted island, where they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason, Baywatch) wrote the screenplay. Raimi is also producing the project with Zainab Azizi (65, Boy Kills World, Locked). Elfman has previously collaborated with Raimi on the first two Spider-Man movies, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Darkman, Army of Darkness, A Simple Plan and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Send Help will be released in theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026 by 20th Century Studios.
